Article Submission

Pharmaceutical Canada, the only Canadian-based Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Scientific Magazine, strives to publish articles that are thoughtful, relevant, and of interest to the many professionals in this industry.

We welcome submission of technical scientific, non-biased "how to" manuscripts on a variety of topics such as:

• Validation
• Biotechnology and macromolecular processes
• Manufacturing
• Analytical Testing & Dissolution
• Information Technology
• Industry's key issues
• Packaging and labeling
• Outsourcing strategies
• Regulatory and Compliance
• Excipients and Active Ingredients
• GMP compliance
• quality control/quality assurance
• R&D

Manuscript Guidelines:

Length

Articles are usually between 1,000-4,000 words. However, we frequently accept articles of greater length to be published as a continuing series in subsequent issues. Generally, manuscripts should convey the message in a succinct manner while providing sufficient detail for readability.

Format

It is encouraged that articles be sent electronically as a Word attachment or by disk. We prefer that all photographs, diagrams, charts, and tables not be embedded in the text, but rather be sent as separate documents in the format in which they were created (e.g. Excel, Publisher).

References should not be placed within the body of the text. Instead numbers should be placed in parentheses after the citation, with references listed at the end of the manuscript in numerical order.

If the original document contains special fonts or characters that may be lost in transfer to electronic format, we ask that a PDF version or hard copy is also included.

Submission

Pharmaceutical Canada accepts all manuscripts with the understanding that they have not previously been published. If the article or any tabular/graphical data has appeared elsewhere, the author is responsible for ensuring permission has been granted from the copyright owner.

One of the advantages of publishing in Pharmaceutical Canada is that the author(s) retain the copyright of the original manuscript to re-publish anywhere they wish.
